A 'tsunami of sympathisers' are urging PN back bencher Franco Debono to put together a credible new political party in order to contest the upcoming general elections and field candidates on all electoral districts, Dr Debono told di-ve.com

In a telephone conversation held this morning Franco Debono explained to di-ve.com how the moment he was mistreated by a PBS presenter he received waves of sympathy calls and texts supporting his cause.

“At the moment I am in listening mode. I’m taking note of what the hundreds of sympathisers are telling me and although I definitely will not contest the election as an independent candidate, I’m listening to all that I’m being told by my supporters about giving birth to a new political party which is credible and can field candidates on all electoral districts,” the MP stated.

“People are angry at the way the state television station has been politically hijacked and are voicing their disgust at how PBS treats particular guests,” Dr Debono said, continuing that, “when one looks at how the crowd at the Santana concert reacted to Lou Bondi and booed at the PBS presenter, one realises that the antics of such presenters on state television are being counterproductive and only result in a massive drive of support in my direction.”
