Trance Stars at Paceville
Simon Patterson and Sarah Howells will be performing at The Sky Club, Paceville, tomorrow Saturday, February 16th.
This renowned duo known for their trance electronic music have been club favourites for more than five years. They scored a huge hit with Here and Now last year. The song revolves around Sarah’s coaxing vocals and the epic, loud, trance, synth melodies.
Sarah who hails from Cardiff, Wales, started her career, aged just ten and had her own band JYLT with Nia George. When her best friend died of leukemia, Sarah disbanded her group and retired for a while. She was introduced to trance when DJ and producer Lange asked her to provide vocals for his album Better Late Than Never, and the single Out of The Sky, which became a hit in 2008.
Howells continued working in trance music and also formed a new band called Paper Aeroplanes. They released their debut album The Day We Ran into the Sea in 2009. They have often featured on BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6, the latter featuring cutting-edge music.
Simon Patterson is a renowned internationally-popular DJ. This Belfast native started his career as an A & R man before moving to BBC Radio 1 in 2000. That year, he also became actively involved in club deejaying at The Cross in London, and also producing his own music and eventually formed his trance outfit, Dogzilla.
